Free Father's Day Card Printable

I always struggle with creating masculine cards for my husband, dad and father-in-law.  So I wanted to share with you a free printable (for personal use only) that I created if you struggle like me.  This Father's Day Card was created with different Free fonts that I downloaded and imported into Photoshop.  There I  sized and placed them to my liking.

Here is how you can make one of your own with this free download.  Click here to download file.
After you print the file onto card stock you will need to pull out your paper cutter or scissors would work too.

I trimmed at at 5.5" mark on the long side.  The right hand portion will be your card base with the "Happy Father'd Day" sentiment on the inside.

Score and fold this portion of the the card.

Now I trimmed down the front of the card to 5.25" x 4" and matted a black piece of card stock that was 1/16" wider.  This picks up the black lettering on the card and it feels very masculine.  Here is where you can adjust accordingly to your personal liking.  You could add your the recipients favorite color or leave white for clean look.  I place some foam tape on the back to give this layer some depth.

I hope this inspire you to make this card or put your own fonts to work in a program like photoshop.

Enjoy and happy crafting,

Melanie

Handyman Father's Day Card

With Father's Day coming up, I wanted to come up with a new card for the great men in our lives.  Last year, I did the oragami men's shirt card, you can get instructions and take a look at it here.  This year, I decided to do a punch art card with wrenches.  There are great instructions of how to construct these wrenches at "Two Happy Stamper's" blog.

This card was easy to create with a few basic punches, aluminum foil (create faux metal), the Big Shot and assorted card stocks.  I first punched my wrench pieces and sponged the edges, the I ran several layers of aluminum foil through the Big Shot in an embossing folder then with Stampin Up's Apothecary Accents framlits dies.  I assembled my layers and added another Apothecary Accents die cut along with the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up's "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set and was punched out with the Modern Label punch also from Stampin Up.

For this card used the following punches:
3/4" Circle Punch
1 1/4" Circle Punch
1 3/4" Circle Punch
Stampin Up Word Window Punch
Stampin Up Itty Bitty Punch Scallop

I hope this gives you some ideas for the great men in your life,

Melanie

Father's Day Card

With Father's Day coming up, I wanted to share the Father's Day Card I made for my dad and father-in-law.  The used origami to make the shirt.  It was really simple to do from a 4" x 6" piece of paper.  I used button brads that I had on hand.  I then printed out "Happy Father's Day" onto some card stock and cut it out.  The shirt and sentiment are raised up with foam dots.

I hope all the dad's out there have a great Father's Day.  I am especially lucky to have such a great husband and father.  His is definitely a "hands on dad" and for that I am grateful.
