Here are the cards the monogrammed cards that I created for the portfolio.  I had so much fun making these and using different stamps.  The following sets were used: Everything Eleanor, Field Flowers, Betty's Blossoms, Madison Avenue and Label Love.

Everything Eleanor

Field Flowers

Betsy's Blossoms

Madison Avenue

 Label Love

It was so fun to play around with stamps that I haven't used in awhile.  So, I hope this inspires you to create your own personal monogrammed gift.

Monogrammed Note Card Portfolio - End of the Year Teacher Gift

Since the school year for my children is coming to a close, I decided to make these monogrammed note card portfolios for them.  I got to use lots of my stamps, some old and some new in the process.  In this post, I am going to focus on the Note Card Portfolio Holder.  In the following post, I will show case the monogrammed cards I included.

Can you believe that this folder is just made from a simple 8.5" x 11" piece of card stock?  Yes, it is that easy.  Here is a video from Angie at ChicnScratch that explains the details on it.  For the front I used the Everything Eleanor stamp set and Serif Essentials Alphabet Bigz Die that I got off the Stampin Up Clearance Rack recently.

Using the Primerose Petals stamp pad, I stamped the background stamp then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  It really gives that little extra dimension with the shine.  The rest is pretty simple with punching and the big shot.  And of course a little bling to accent the Monogram.

To get the details on the cards, please see my post "here".  This is a perfect gift for many occasions, here is another version I did for Christmas gifts.  I hope this gives you some inspiration for your own projects.

Look Who is Turning Six!

This seems to be the party season and my eldest son, Tyler really enjoyed going seeing his friends.  Here is a quick card I made using the Mini Curly Label Punch, Pretty Petite Stamp set and some fun Designer Series Paper.  To make the number "6" I used my Cricut, because I didn't have a number stamp set.

I think this really makes a great children's card.  Just change the DSP for different looks.

Off to a New Home!

Need another idea for a "New Home" card, here is my second card using the house cut out from my previous post.  Click here if you missed it.

For this card, I used many Stampin Up products.  The embossed clouds is a textured emprssions folder called Cloudy Days and I used the Cupcake Builder Punch for the clouds.  The scalloped blue trim was made with the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die.  To set off the house that I cut with my Cricut I cut out a Window Framelit with the Big Shot.

Adding a few foam dimensionals to the back to pop up elements and give it some interest.

I hope you try out one of these moving cards for yourself.

Congratulations on Your New Home!

I have several friends that are getting ready to move or recently have moved into new homes.  So here are a one of the cards that I came up with.

I know I have been stamping mostly, but I went back to my Cricut for this one.  I designed the house using my Gypsy or I am sure you could do it with Cricut Craft Room.  I centered it on my paper and cut it out.  Since home is wear the heart is, I added the heart.  The raised Congratulations banner sentiment and some sewing finish this card off.

Come back tomorrow and check out how I used the house that was cut from this card stock.

Cupcake on Top - Label Love

I am really enjoying creating with the new Label Love and Artisan Punch from Stampin Up.  I must admit, I tend to hoard my designer series paper.  I am not sure my, but I am trying to change to old habit.

In this card I used the retiring Floral District DSP on top of a piece of Lucky Limeade border punched will the scallop trim punch.  I used the new In Color "Crisp Cantelope" to showcase the Label Love stamped in "Calypso Coral".  I really love how these two colors compliment each other.

The sentiment is an old one called "Thinking Happy Thoughts", similar to the current "A Fitting Occasion" stamp set.  The cute little cup cake is from the "Itty Bitty Bits" stamp set.  It tops off the perfect colorful birthday card.

Now if you have the same problem as me, I challenge you to use some of your own DSP.  No point it looking good on a shelf when it can be shared.

Melanie

Masculine Graduation Card

Tis the season for graduation, whether it be from preschool, high school or college.  Our neighbor's son is graduating form high school and this is the masculine card I made to honor this accomplishment.

To make this card I used a polka dotted background stamp that was recently retired from Stampin Up.  I was thinking this would be a great card to try the masking technique on too.  For now though the background is square.  The sentiment is from the very versatile "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp set.

I used my Cricut to cut the graduation hat out, if you are interested in making your own it is easy to do with a paper trimmer.  Check out this tutorial.  If you are interested in seeing a more feminine graduation card I made in an earlier post click here.  I am also entering this into The Paper Players Challenge #146, come check out the details and enter yourself.

I hope this gives you some inspiration to create your own graduation card for that special grad in your life.

Curly and Cute Happy Birthday!

Today's birthday card is one I got inspiration from my up line Brandy Cox, she has a great video on how to create this background technique.

I didn't have the Stippled Blossom stamp set like in Brandy's video, but I thought that the flower from Field Flowers would work well.  Some other stamp sets to try would be Everything Eleanor or Blooming with Kindness.

I chose the Curly Cute Happy Birthday sentiment and just stamped off from the center.  I really think the fading effect turned out nice on the this card.

I hope this inspires you tot try creating your own background paper with a floral stamp set.

Happy Birthday to You! with Label Love

I always feel like a kid at Christmas when Stampin Up gives demonstrator's a preview of 2013 new releases.  I wanted to share with you a little sneak peak of Stampin Up's new punch and coordinating stamp set.
The stamp set is called "Label Love" and the punch is "Artisan Label".  I just love them both!

I used the punch to create the embossed backdrop.

Thanks for stopping by and check back for more projects using this stamp set and coordinating punch.

Here's to You! Gradutation Card

I can't hardly believe this, but my niece will be graduating high school in a few weeks.  She was just a few weeks old when I graduated high school.  I am so proud of her and her accomplishments in such a short time.  I am excited to see her continue to grow in what God has planned for her.

Here is the Graduation card that I made for her:

To make the graduation cap I used my Cricut, but I saw this tutorial if you don't have cutting machine.  Here are the other supplies I used:

Stamps:  Friendly Phrases, Everything Eleanor, Tiny Tags
Paper: Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Basic Black
Ink:  Craft White Ink, Midnight Muse
Ribbon: 1/4" Whisper White

Melanie
