Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog - 3" x 3" Valentine Cards

Welcome to this week's FCCB, our challenge this week was to create a 3" x 3" Valentine Card. Remember it needs to have at least one Cricut cut.

For my project, I was able to use My Creative Time stamp set 100% "Sweetness" from our sponsor this week.   The stamp set also came with this great stitched heart die, I used that for the center heart on my card.  Using VersaMark, I stamped the "XOXO" along the bottom and I split up the "Happy Valentine's Day" to work with the banner.  Click here if you want to check out this stamp set and more, she just had a new release.

Recipe:
Create a Critter Frame cut out at 1.5" x 1.5" using my Gypsy
Kraft brown Card Stock
Stampin Up Valentine Designer Series Paper
Red Glimmer Paper
White Card Stock
VersaMark Ink
Stampin Up Melon Mambo

Please come and link up your own '3" x 3" Valentine Card" project to the Fantabulous Cricut Challeng Blog. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
Happy Monday,
Melanie

Wedded Bliss - Embossed Satin Fabric Dress

My husband's cousin got married this weekend and I knew I wanted to make a card for the occasion.  I haven't made a wedding card before, but I think this really turned out elegant.

The bodice of the dress is from the "Sweathearts" cricut cartridge.  I cut several layers of white satin fabric with the big shot and the scallop die.  I then stiffened the fabric with hair spray and embossed it.  I staggered three layers of the embossed fabric and folded over the edges into a pie shape and taped down.  I then folded the top point down to create the shape of the bottom of the dress.  For more details on how this was done, come check out my "Quick Tip Tuesday" post at FCCB.  Finally, I used the white satin ribbon and rhinestone brad to accentuate the waist.

I hope this inspires you to emboss fabric on your next project.
Thanks for stopping by,
Melanie

Little Love Notes

Stampin Up Punches:  Word Window
Occasion Mini: Hearts Collection Framelits Die, Fashionable Hearts Embosslits Die
I just got some new stamps in and wanted to play around with some Valentine Card creations.  I made these Little Love Notes for my son, Tyler's, preschool class.
