Wild AND Fabulous Blog Hop

Welcome to Melanie Makes and the WILD AND FABULOUS Blog Hop!!! Today we are sharing some super fun and super girly projects with you!

If you've come from visiting Kassidy's Inking It Up Crazy thanks for hopping along!! If you're just visiting and would like to start from the beginning you can go to http://www.inkingitupcrazy.blogspot.com. You will want to check out each blog for some great ideas and some sweet blog candy.

For those who know me, making a girly project is actually a difficult task for me. Most of my projects involve making cards, gifts and party decorations for my two boys.  I believe God has blessed my with boys, so I don't have to navigate into the world of pink.  My sister on the other hand has four beautiful girls and I am lucky to be their Aunt.  So today's inspiration if for one of my nieces who is a girly girl.

For this project, I decided to use the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge that came with my Gypsy.  I choose the cute little purse and sized it to fit 3" x 3" note cards.  I used the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge for the flower along with some EK Success flower punches.  I also made a set of four 3" x 3" coordinating note cards & envelopes.  I think this would make the perfect gift for any girl big or small.

Thanks for stopping by the Wild AND Fabulous Blog Hop.  Finally for my blog candy I will be giving away this decorative "Thanks for all that you do!" note pad.   In order to qualify please become a follower and leave me a comment.  I announce a winner on Monday.

Your next stop is Hailey. Check it out and see what she has to show you today!!!

And here’s the order of the hop in case you need it along the way!

Inking It Up Crazy Design Team - Least Used Catridge

The challenge for this weeks Inking It Up Crazy Design Team was fairly simple, to use our least used cartridge.  For me this was the "Stretch Your Imagination" cartridge which came with my Cricut Expression.  It actually has some great images for all occasion on it and I should really use it more often.

Here is a Fall card I made with it.

To create this I used my Gypsy and welded some simple shapes and the tree.  I cut out my layers and used the distressed stripes cuttlebug folder for the tree trunk.  Then I ran it through again ontop of the folder to flatten it out to make it more subtle.  I just love this time of year with the crisp cool mornings and of course some football.

Please check out what the other ladies have made for this challenge over at Inking It Up Crazy.

Soccer, Soccer & more Soccer

It has been a while since I have entered a challenge and I thought this would be the perfect one for me to participate in since it was sports oriented.  I have four nieces and all of them play soccer.

Here is the card I made with the "All Sports" cartridge.  There are some great cuts on here for almost any sport.

Please go check out the Creative Cutter Sports Challenge and enter your own project.

Inking It Up Crazy Design Team - Home Decor Project

Our next design team project for Inking it Up Crazy was to use vinyl or do a home decor project.  I decided to do a home decor that has been on my "To Do" list for awhile now.  My sons' bathroom has the cutest Pottery Barn Shower Curtain & Rugs with Frogs and grass on them.  The walls are all blank so it was in some need of art work.

I used one of my favorite Cricut Cartridges, "Create a Critter" for the whole project; from the frog, dragon flys, lily pads, grass and clouds.  I think they will look great in the bathroom.

Be sure to stop by Inking It Up Crazy to see what the others talented ladies have come up with and link up your own Home Decor project.

I hope everyone is having a great week - Melanie
